Types of People
Their are primarily two types of people in America: Free thinkers and Followers. Followers are those who do what the TV tells them to do, Who think, dress, speak and act exactly the way they have been conditioned to. Free thinkers are those who choose their own way for whatever reasons make sense to them. They sometimes take the same path as the followers, but not for the same reason. There may be a third group depending on how you look at it. Who do the Followers follow? They certainly don't follow the free thinkers. Maybe they follow each other, the way a herd of sheep seems to guide itself without any leaders of any kind or any voting on which way the majority of the sheep want to go. Maybe they each follow the rest of each other, but maybe there's a third group of people. This third group could be called the controllers. They are free thinkers, but what distinguishes them from the rest of the free thinkers, is the desire to be the only free thinkers. The want to be the only ones who have original thoughts, they want everyone else to be followers. So more complicated model of the world is one in which there are three groups: The Controllers, The Free-Thinkers and the Followers. The followers follow the controllers and do what they're told. The Free thinkers try to convert others to being Free Thinkers, and the Controllers try to change Free Thinkers to Followers. A similar model for the world is employed by the Discordians. They use different terms, but the overall picture at the end is similar. Discordians are pretty cool people. What sets them aside from almost all other groups in America is that they appear to be almost entirely Free Thinkers. Most groups today are led by one innovative free thinker who leads his followers. Think for Yourself!
