Great Old Movies
Some great old movies that are out on video are:
- The Bandwagon: Fred Astaire, great dancing and
great music.
- The Big Sleep: Bogart & Bacall in a mystery.
- Born Yesterday: the original with Judy Holliday,
much better than the remake with Melanie Griffith.
- Captain Blood: one of the all-time best
swashbucklers.
- El Dorado: John Wayne in a typical western, but
this one has Robert Mitchum and (a very YOUNG) James
Caan.
- Funny Face: Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire in
Paris, along with great scenery and great fashions by
Givenchy.
- The Hidden Fortress: by Akira Kurosawa, one of the
classics of Japanese cinema.
