Objective: A part-time job in IT or software engineering where I can practice my skills.

Fundamental Skills: I learn new skills easily, read quickly, and adapt rapidly to new environments.

Programming Languages: Java, C++, Perl

Operating Systems: Very experienced in Windows and Windows NT. Moderately familiar with Macintosh and Linux. My PC runs Windows XP.

Web: I know HTML and am familiar with using Dreamweaver and Frontpage to edit webpages.

Educational Experience:

Henry M. Gunn Senior High School (Palo Alto, CA) 8/01 - present

I'm currently taking the highest math class offered for my grade, Analysis Honors, which includes Calc A as the second semester. Next year I will be taking Calc BC. I am currently taking Programming With Java, and am a teaching assistant. I have completed several projects normally assigned for the AP Computer Science class.

These projects include:

·        a matrix calculator

·        a version of Conway’s Game of Life

·        a recursive program for finding values on Pascal’s triangle

Internal Drive Tech Camps (Stanford) Summer 2002

ID Tech provides summer camps for students learning programming at colleges all across the country. Students focus solely on computer science for weeks at a time, doing almost nothing that does not involve a PC. I took the AP programming course they offer, and distinguished myself as one of the most advanced Java students of 2002.

American Computer Experience (MIT, Boston University, Stanford) Summers ’97 -‘01

ACE was a very similar summer camp program. I learned Basic, C, C++, and Java in intense 4-week courses, winning awards for rapid progress. I received special distinction for creating a crude version of pong in basic in under 30 minutes.

Other Experience:

I have built several computers, including my personal machine, entirely from parts bought at Frys. I maintain a 6-computer home network which involves 4 ethernet hubs and over 200 feet of cable.
